Dear Members and Friends,
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Chili Cookoff & Tasting Event, featuring the finest chili recipes crafted by none other than our very own members!
Date: November 17th, 2024
Location: The Metropolitan Society, 1275 Bloomfield Ave Building 8, Suite 62, Fairfield, NJ 07004
Tastings: 1:00 PM
Judging: 2:00 PM
Winners Announced: 3:00 PM
This is your chance to taste a variety of chili recipes, watch some football, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow chili aficionados. There will be two awards:
Member's Choice – voted on by you, the members.
Judge’s Award – decided by our hand-picked panel of chili connoisseurs.
Come ready to eat, vote, and celebrate with us!
We are looking for 10 competitors for this event. If you would like to compete, please reach out to Joey Mac at JDizon@themobilecigarlounge.com.
Competition Rules:
1. Fresh Meats and Vegetables are REQUIRED.
2. Canned Vegetables and Dried Seasoning are permissible.
3. Chili to be made at home or kitchen and to be brought to the club.
4. Competitors are REQUIRED to transport chili to the club hot in either a pot or Crockpot.
5. Each competitor will be provided one chafing dish with a sterno to keep chili warm.
6. NO COOKING WILL BE ALLOWED AT LOCATION.
7. Each guest/judge will receive a 2 Ounce serving.
8. 2 Ounce Cups and spoons will be provided.
9 You are REQUIRED to bring your own serving utensil.
10. Toppings and accompaniments are encouraged but not required.
